In this course, students will discover the world of film finance and sales; distribution and marketing; creative management and development; digital strategy; and the impact of technology on the film industry.  The International Film Business will also place these issues in context, with a focus on the major developments in media history; the role of professionals in shaping communications; and the complex relationship between technological, social, cultural, and economic developments in media.  By the end of this course, students will understand more about how the media of the past has affected personal identity, free expression, and social power, which includes the question of diversity in relation to communication across time.
