Innovation is particularly important as a concept impacting global firms. Essentially, innovation can be a way in which a firm can achieve a higher level of productivity and performance, Innovation can provide a firm with a competitive advantage in the turbulent global marketplace. This course describes innovation and highlights the importance of innovation for global firms. The course includes discussions and a project paper that requires developing a paper topic, conducting research and writing a paper on the selected project paper over the entire course. In part, this exercise is designed to assist students that may be moving towards completing a thesis and/ or a dissertation.
